PostEx Out for Delivery: What It Means and What to Do If Delivery Fails

Your PostEx tracking says “Out for Delivery”. Here is what that means, how to make sure the handover goes smoothly, and what to do if the rider cannot deliver.

Independent guide: postex-tracking.com is not run by PostEx (Pvt.) Ltd. We cannot contact riders or change a delivery. For help with your parcel, call PostEx on (042) 111 786 227 or email support@postex.pk.

What Does “Out for Delivery” Mean on PostEx?

It means your parcel has reached the PostEx delivery station that covers your area, and a rider has taken it out on today's route. It is the last step before “Delivered”. The parcel is no longer travelling between cities, so any further delay is usually about the route, traffic or reaching you on the phone.

PostEx delivers from Monday to Saturday. Riders do not deliver on Sundays or on public holidays such as Eid, so a parcel that is still with the rider late on Saturday will normally go out again on the next working day.

How to Get Ready for the PostEx Rider

  • Keep the phone from your order switched on. The rider may ring you to find your street or gate.
  • Count out the exact cash if you chose cash on delivery. Check the amount on the label before you pay.
  • Tell someone at home if you will be out, so a family member or guard can take the parcel and pay for you.
  • Add a landmark if your address is hard to find. The shop that booked the parcel can pass it on to PostEx.

PostEx Delivery Attempt Failed: What Happens Next?

If the rider cannot hand over the parcel, the tracking changes to a status such as “Delivery Pending” or “Attempted”. The parcel goes back to the local station, and it is usually taken out again on a later round. If delivery keeps failing, or the parcel is refused, it is sent back to the seller. Once that happens, only the seller can arrange to send it again.

To stop a return, act as soon as you see a failed attempt. Call PostEx with your tracking number, confirm your phone number and address, and ask when the next try will be.

Marked “Attempted” but Nobody Called?

PostEx handles disputes about delivery scans, including an “Attempted” status where the rider never made contact, through its helpline (042) 111 786 227 and by email at support@postex.pk. Give them your tracking number, the date and time shown on the scan, and the phone number you were waiting on. Tell the seller as well, because they booked the parcel and can follow it up from their side.
