In contemporary parcel logistics, Same-Day Delivery is a fast service meant for intra-city shopping. It is for things people want quickly, such as food items, urgent accessories, medicines or replacement parts.

It helps to know the difference between same-day delivery in one city and normal delivery between cities:

Intra-City Scope: Same-day delivery only makes sense when the seller’s warehouse and your address are in the same city, such as Lahore to Lahore or Karachi to Karachi.

Early Merchant Booking: You place your order early in the day. The seller packs it and makes a PostEx shipping label before the morning collection cut-off.
Midday Courier Collection: A PostEx rider collects the parcels and takes them straight to the city sorting station.
Rapid Cross-Dock Sorting: Instead of waiting for the evening sort, same-day parcels are scanned quickly and passed to local riders for the afternoon and evening rounds.
Afternoon Doorstep Handover: The rider delivers the parcel before the end of the working day and collects the cash if it is a COD order.

Which Areas Can Get Same-Day Delivery

Same-day delivery needs short distances and busy delivery routes, so it is usually offered in big cities such as Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Even in big cities, there are limits:

Central Commercial Districts: Busy neighbourhoods and business areas with good roads and a nearby delivery station are the easiest to reach the same day.

Tracking a Same-Day Consignment

When you track a same-day parcel, the updates come much closer together than for a normal order:

Morning Pickup: The status changes from “Order Created” to “Picked Up” once the rider collects it.
Midday Hub Processing: The parcel is scanned at the city hub and moved on to your local delivery station soon after.
Afternoon Out for Delivery: The status changes to “Out for Delivery” when a rider takes it out on the round.
